So I guess I best get this kicked off with one of my favorite pictures of an inspirational nature.
I call this fellow Space Raptor. This was the picture that inspired me to create my folder of inspirational dinosaur pictures for reasons that I am sure you can see why. I mean, look at this guy, just look at him. I mean this guy combines two awesome things, space and Hollywood velociraptors, and goes on to prove that the whole is indeed more than the sum of it's parts. Now, onto a critical analysis of the piece. Perhaps one of the more inspirational elements of this drawing, celestial velociraptor aside, is the ambiguous expression on the raptor's face. I have discussed this with several of my peers and we are at odds with the meaning. Some say it is a look of joy, I am disinclined to agree. In his eyes, I see pain yet contentment. The expression of one who has taken the bullet for his friend, and can die happily with that knowledge. I would be eager to hear of your own interpretations of the celestial raptor, so feel free to comment below.
